State Recertification Documents to be Mailed by End of January
Certified fire inspectors through the Bureau of Fire Services may have noticed that their certification expired on December 31, 2009. According to the State Fire Marshal Ron Farr and staff of the BFS, the process is well underway and nearing completion.
Currently staff is preparing to print the certification documents and verifying that the CE requirements have been met. Those who have obtained the minimum number of CE points will automatically be renewed and the certification with a CE statement and instructions for thee next renewal process will be mailed by the end of January.
Those certified inspectors who do not meet the minimum continuing education points will be notified of their status (via mail) and the next steps needed to become current.
It is important to realize that the staff is working diligently on completing this process and all inspectors will be notified of their status by the end of January 2010.
